How to send your controller

Once you've booked and paid, here's exactly how to get your DualSense to us safely and quickly.

You don't need to send anything except the controller
No cables, no USB leads, no stands, no box. Just the controller itself. If you have a DualSense Edge, you can leave the stick modules attached — we'll handle them.

Wrap it well
Wrap your controller in bubble wrap (2–3 layers is ideal) or a few layers of clothing. The goal is to prevent it moving around and to cushion any drops. A jiffy bag or small cardboard box both work fine.

Write your job reference on the outside
Your job reference was in your confirmation email and is shown in your portal. Write it clearly on the outside of the package — e.g. SDR-ABC123. This lets us match it to your booking the moment it arrives.

Use Royal Mail Tracked 48
We recommend Royal Mail Tracked 48 (approx. £3–4 from any Post Office or online via Click & Drop). It provides a tracking number and basic compensation cover. Keep your receipt and tracking number.

Other tracked services (DPD, Evri Tracked, Hermes) are also fine. We just recommend against standard untracked post — if it gets lost, there's no way to trace it.

Upload your tracking number
Once posted, log in to your repair portaland upload your tracking number. This tells us it's on the way and lets us chase it if needed. You'll get email updates at every stage once we receive it.

Quick answers

Can I drop it off in person?
We don't currently offer drop-off. Mail-in only — it keeps costs down for everyone.
Do I need to include a note inside?
No — your job reference on the outside is enough. Your booking details are already in our system.
What if it arrives damaged?
We photograph every controller on arrival. If there's existing damage, we'll let you know before starting work.
How long does delivery take?
Royal Mail Tracked 48 typically arrives in 1–2 working days from dispatch. We'll update your portal as soon as it arrives.
What if I lose my job reference?
Log in to your portal at stickdriftrepair.co.uk/portal — your reference is shown there. Or email us and we'll look it up.
