PS5 Stick Drift Test
Not sure if your DualSense has stick drift? Connect it via USB and this tool reads the raw stick values directly from your controller — no download, no account, completely free.
Test your controller
Plug your DualSense into your computer with a USB cable, then click Connect. We read live stick values directly from the controller - nothing is sent anywhere.
What is PS5 stick drift?
Stick drift is when your PS5 controller registers movement on a thumbstick even when you are not touching it. Characters walk by themselves, cameras spin, menus scroll on their own.
The potentiometers inside the sticks wear down over time. The carbon track that reads stick position degrades, causing false readings. It gets worse the more you play.
Yes — reliably. We replace the worn component with a new one, or upgrade to a Hall Effect or TMR sensor that never wears out. Most controllers are back with you within 5 days.
How the test works
This tool uses the WebHID API — built into Chrome and Edge — to read raw HID reports directly from your DualSense over USB. Each stick sends an 8-bit value (0–255) where 128 is the centre. If the stick drifts away from 128 while untouched, that is drift. Nothing is stored or sent — all processing happens in your browser.
Mail-in repair from £35. Includes return postage and calibration. Most repairs back within 5 days.
